Optimistic Nihilism is a contemporary pop-philosophy term which first originated in online discourse and later popularized by the YouTube channel Kurzgesagt in 2017. Based on the premise that life lacks objective meaning or purpose, It holds that the lack of cosmic significance is not a cause for despair, but a source of liberation and a reason to be happy.
