I think there is something in the human heart

I don't think there is self-hatred within humanity generally but I do believe that hatred is something inherent within humans and that this hatred can manifest into self-loathing (though I believe this comes from a place of seeing how one fits into society and their roles, like how one would usually find their intelligence lacking and develop an intellectual self-hate if one is generally academically behind from their peers).

I only stopped hating cause I realized I didn't really feel great doing this and it just hurt me more then it did to the things of the world that I hate. And I know deep down inside, I do want to return to a state of ignorance and idealism. Don't follow what I do though. This is just the thing I did to help my life. My mother for example, seems to strive off hate and live off it, and she looks better than my dad who looks life drained.

I honestly do wish to have this perception of life, though I'm not sure if I can reach that in my life. While I would like to say that I am not too attached to what people have to say about me, a few nasty curses from my mother can make my blood boil and talks from a misguided yet good father make me disgusted and infuriated. This may just be what family is though.

I was kind of referring to the world more broadly, but family is definitely closer to home. I guess those are some socio-personal issues which you'll need to address for your own good.

Discussion - Happiness shouldn't be too difficult to achieve for most people.

The recorded human history is roughly about 12,000 years, but modern humans have existed for at least 300,000 years. Life was brutally poor for most of that time, still is for some people, but... We're here so, it must have all been worth it for some reason. What did they do in their free time?

My thread about happiness got shutdown before it reached it's natural conclusion, so I'll post my answer here:

It's the ability to enjoy in peace without anxiety. It has nothing to do with politics or identity. You can get plenty of joy with a dog and a tennis ball but not if you're ill or preoccupied with drama. That's my answer at the least.

The problem I'm trying to get at in this thread are the causes of evil.

Joy is relatively cheap to generate and videogames are just pixels on the screen.

What I'm asking is, what motivates people to:

• Create cartel videos?
• Glorify violence?
• Give 100s of women STDs and post about it on social media?
• Social media and news performance BS etc.

Nobody enjoy's doing these things, it's all pretend, and they attract genuine hate and disgust. They know this is bullshit before they do it and then they get caught.

And that's just the surface when you can see the culprit, we haven't started on the ideological shit people invent like bullshit words, political cults and fake religions.
