Why is it bad for rolling characters?
Rolling characters will require multiple sets of rolls. 4D6 6 times

Oh no. the thing you said you would do would help for character creation and probably other things too. Its required for anyone wo wants to play real pathfinder or D&D here
Well it's a convenient function if we're doing play-by-post, don't need to manually roll the dice elsewhere.
