Discussion Do some of y'all just wonder what you're missing out on due to social isolation?

It happens to me a lot. I keep wondering what the normies are up to while I perpetually rot by myself.

From what I've seen, it's mostly just social media chatter and reproduction/simulated reproduction that they talk about.

Almost none of them are interested in things like geopolitics or cosmology like I am. But still the doubt doesn't disappear.

How many of you can relate?

friends, friend groups, creating bonds, memories, being socially validated, having someone i can lean onto, actually being understood instead of just tolerated, having inside jokes that don’t feel forced, being invited somewhere without having to insert yourself, people checking up on you without a reason, feeling like you actually matter to someone. just normal stuff people take for granted. i don’t get any of that. it hurts.

hardly. I don't feel envious of the average normies life. Their lives seems performative to gain social standing. It's constant competition. I feel free that I don't have to constantly act a certain way for social validation. It's the same with dating. You have to have money or status to be seen by women as a normie. Some people would say I'm coping, but I honestly don't mind my current life. I probably won't be saying this in a few years when I'm wageslaving, but my current hobbies save me.

It seems like most modern friendships are transactional and temporary tbh. The best friendships are the ones that began from an early age or have lasted for many years.

It’s just a simulation like in books and anime, you can even create your own universe in your head if you want.
