Anyone into art films? I just learned about it and how it's slightly different from indie films.

"Cine arte" (art film or arthouse film) refers to independent, non-mainstream films targeting niche audiences, often emphasizing artistic expression, unconventional narratives, and directoral vision (film d'auteur) over commercial appeal.

I'm no connoisseur , so I apologize if this isn't technically an "art film"
Junk head is a stop motion movie by a Japanese film maker named Takahide Hori. I HIGHLY recommend it if you like atmospheric post apocalyptic stuff

I'll check it out. That pic reminds me of one of those games in one of those "disturbing video games" iceberg that's set in some mechanical setting. Can't remember the name for the life of me though...

Idk that's pretty vague but I love anything Jodorowsky and Lars von Trier.

Not specifically, but Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters is the best movie I’ve seen and I think it’d fall into that same category

I've heard of the anti christ. Watching those too they all look interesting
Akira Kurosawa's 1950 masterpiece Rashomon is the definitive Japanese film exploring different perspectives.

That should just be seen by everyone who truly enjoys films, the japanese really layed out something revolutionary for its time and layed the ground work for modern movies.

Chungking Express is another pretty good one.

Oh you know what reminds me, basically anything in the the criterion collection is good. It's like cheat codes for good art films, I'm by no means saying they are all good but it's hard to miss.
