I'm not really a big fan of doctors, so I tend to avoid them when it comes medical issues. I have noticed what looks like signs of an umbilical hernia, I have been avoiding going to the doctor for over a what feels like a year and a half.

I'm not looking for advice or pity, rather to share something I'm avoiding. Anyone else avoiding medical, legal or financial problems? Any funny stories related?

I haven't been to a hospital for 20 years, but we live in a society and have to contribute to the well-being of fat people and old people...

I do plan to get a "check-up" though (visiting 6-8 doctors in a day) as a proxy for visiting cardiologist, because dying of a heart attack is causing a concern. They calculate a so-called "mortality index", from 0 to 100, and acquaint you with chance to die in the next 20 years.

Idk if it's an issue, but my blood pressure is on the lower end of normal range. Many athlethes supposedly have that.

I do intense cardio, then don't move for days. When standing up after chilling on a couch, I can sometimes get a sick feeling and "darkened vision". Arm/leg numbness is also way more easy to get.

So yeah, I want the cardiologist to apply all those tools of his on me.

I'd try to avoid checking for ass cancer, because a regularal public hospital might fuck up colonoscopy and cause internal bleeding - you'd either die days later (oops!) or have serious issues from now on.

I'm not a big fan of doctors, or anyone in the medical field for that matter. They're all motivated by money, rather than the health of others. It's honestly best to avoid them if you can.

Yeah but ass cancer kills so many and is so treatable...
Or so those gay ass doctors who like seeing inside your butthole will have you believe.
But if you don't really smoke or drink(and you sound like you do some sort of physical activity)and lower than average is better then high. you should be fine for the heart attack. But I wish you the best of health in any case.

I can agree with you on parts of that to be sure, it's hard to find a good doctor. But sometimes you gotta seem them. I'll even tape up something rather then get stitches :/.

People obsessively check for skin cancer and melanoma, but I once looked up statistics and it was about the same as Covid mortality - impossible for anyone not senile to die from. And yet clinics will convince them to perform surgical removals for a quick buck.

I never explored ass cancer risks in depth, but that colonoscopy thing (and analogous prodcedure with shoving tubes in the gut) - the risk varies by the experience of a doctor and when I saw Gemini giving me numbers like "0.5%", I decided to sit on it for a while.
