It's not that reality has a left-leaning bias. it has a right-leaning bias, but that right-leaning bias is extremely distressing when realised. so the brain protects itself by looking for an antithesis that allows for wiggle room and cope, so that the person in question can regain immediate psychological equilibrium

It's a common trope that the more intelligent someone is the more prone they are to depression and stuff like that. and its true. Because reality is harsh and brutal. Some people cannot look away from the truth, and as such self-destruct or at least fall into deep water and struggle to surface but most people do the opposite, they submerge themselves in delusion in an attempt to regain a sense of immediate equilibrium, even if that means sacrificing reality in the process. which is why leftism as a political ideology presents as it does. its proponents reject objectivity, and that is a fundamental tenet of their way of life

And I think that wraps in with the whitepill theme. If you start questioning reality either bc you are smart or otherwise you do run into depressing stuff and you can't undue that revelation. You have to work through it and come to accept it. It sucks more that you're surrounded by people who haven't looked under the hood so they think you're nuts for being depressed.
