if taken at face value, the concept of a performance concert is not really a big deal. tate only becomes correct when you begin to add more to the base concept, i.e. drugs, the genre of music, the message being portrayed.

yup, look up sonic warfare and what it does to the brain. I like music but you will never catch me idol worshiping some stranger on stage and watch females thirst over them while you sit there and cheer them on. I heard a story of a girl cheating on her boyfriend with a rapper at a concert once. a lot of people that attend these places are only there for what you said above. false illusion of collectiveness pfff

same. also, while i don't ever think my wife would do something like that, we both keep each other in check and guide each other away from temptations to prevent anything from ever spiraling out of control and we ensure that we are communicating about any issues we have as often as possible. engaging in those types of events and behaviors can lead you down those paths. i can admit that if you're watchful and you're capable of pushing out everything else you could probably enjoy those events even surrounded by those people but you're still isolated from them. just not physically. any sort of connection to that hivemind will begin to wear down your brain.
