Argument 1
  • Nonexistence is bliss.
  • Without a mind, there is no existence.
  • The mind or "self" does not exist already; therefore, truly realizing that fact is bliss.
Argument 2
  • Nonexistence is bliss.
  • Destroying one's concept of a "self" or "mind" is effectively destroying oneself.
  • Therefore, destroying one's concept of a self or mind is bliss.
  • The joke is that the self and mind do not exist already, so simply realizing that fact is bliss.
How to realize self does not exist already? How to destroy the mind?

How to realize the self does not exist already:
  • Recognize the neuroscientific fact that there is no center of consciousness and therefore no self.
  • Perform self-inquiry. Examine the body and look your "self." You will not find it, because it does not exist.
How to destroy the mind?
  • Stop thinking/label, dismiss, refocus.
  1. Label: Identify when the brain is engaging in thought.
  2. Dismiss: Say "it's just the brain."
  3. Refocus: Engage in a healthy activity.
  • Like learning to play an instrument, doing this repeatedly will build new neural pathways and rewire the brain to do it automatically.

Would be so nice to tap into this mindset

Its still my goal to become an ascetic, completely view nature as god and just forget about all desires
You can do it. Stop indulging in unnecessary pleasure. Start meditating, make meditation a way of living by practicing mindfulness every moment of your life. Soon you will become so detached from everything.

Realize you have been conditioned by karma (all of your experience of life) to create an "I" you believe you are.

Realize Nirvana has always been in you. There is no state to "reach" as you have always been in Nirvana. The more you meditate, the more separation there will from the body, the sensations, the perceptions, the mind, the consciousness, and so on. Realize their impermanence.

Start reading this book and start meditating. Soon you will realize it:

Truth cannot be understood, it has to be experienced by yourself. This will all be useless if you don't start meditating. Meditation is the best way to experience the teachings of the Buddha regarding impernanence, conditioning, no-self, interconnectedness of everything, and so on.
