Over the past week, i’ve been pondering over determinism. Whether or not all my actions are pre-determined. The blackpill already touches base level of determinism, such as our genetic makeup determining how we’ll be treated by others and our success with women. But that’s not what’s causing me to feel this sense of existential dread. It’s being aware that my every single action is a result of my brain and past experiences. Why am I making this thread? Because of cortisol being released in my brain, thus making this thread allows me to vent and feel less stressed. Why do I find a certain genre of anime interesting? Because of past experiences and brain chemistry. I guess I could just live like I did before knowing about determinism, and it’d make no difference. And i’m sure determinism isn’t 100% true, but it holds weight. Im more inclinded to say i believe in compatibilism.
