Even if my own defeatism is a composite fact of my being, paring down levels of abstraction doesn't change the outcome, the "model" which charts a causal attribution doesn't change, if that makes sense. I don't know, I never thought too deeply about it for the same reason that I don't think too deeply about politics. I could imagine becoming an optimist under certain conditions. It's just that those conditions haven't manifested themselves yet, so if circumstance dictates that I rot, then I shall rot. The world is not my oyster.</p></blockquote><p></p>
