Serious Does anyone here know how to fight with a sword? (HEMA)

I dont. But I watched some youtube videos about it.

So now I know I have to angle the blade right, but I wonder how feasible is that, I mean in a battle you cant really predict the angle maybe you strike something solid for an error, the cut will be not angled 100% right.

Also I noticed the fights are boring as fuck and they dont look like anime.

I did fencing and I abandoned it for boxing. Sad bcause I also purchased the gay sword.

In adult years I didnt purchase any gay sword, I got some from zombietools, recommended: https://zombietools.net/

They get you these swords in 80crv2 very soft so you can use them to smash some wood and they dont break. Also you can use them as an axe or a machete. Less effective than a machete for wood carving but they are cool and not that much expensive for what they are.
