i don’t live in the suburbs but i’ve visited them before. suburbs are different depending on who’s dominating them. go to some suburbs in texas where it’s packed with pajeets and hoodrat beaners, it’s loud, so uncivilized, ghetto behavior, no basic manners, people stinking up the stores and restaurants, kids running wild with no control. compare that to the upper middle class suburbs in massachusetts, where it’s mostly white, quiet, clean, people actually say excuse me and hold doors, everything just feels more civilized and put together. not exactly a coincidence, is it? the nicest, most upper middle class suburban areas tend to be heavily white dominated, and the quality of life shows it. you notice the difference immediately once you’ve seen both sides. although this isn’t just the ‘suburbs’ in general (although that’d be ideal) just anywhere white dominated even connecticut gives you that proper ‘american’ experience that doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a third world shithole
