Dubbed anime is bad

When I download anime from nyaa, many of these came with dual audio, and the english language is set as the first language, and I always have to change it when switching episodes, because the dubs are so bad, they are so terrible. Just so you know, that voice filled with emotion and soul, in the japanese audio, is replaced by souless chad psychopathic highschool voice, in the english dubs. And the females all talk like stacies, with that high-pitched american bitch voice that you cant stand for more than some seconds. All of a sudden the intense live voice action from the japanese original becomes a high school 80s movie, no matter what the subject is, everybody becomes chad and stacy. I'm currently watching Arslan which have those epic battles, and in the english version everybody talks like a arrogant sociopath. HORRIBLE DUBS. Anime should NOT be dubbed!

When I open a new episode, it's a game where I race myself to make sure I switch the audio and load up the correct subs before the first VA talks. If I lose, I have to do 20 pushups.

The problem with dubs is it clear the people running the dubbing studios are often shit unless a random fan gets control of the project. I mean I liked the Dub some newer anime like I prefer the dub of Edgerunners and Frieren more than the sub. (Though with Frieren they're neck and neck) Plus you have the classic Cowboy Bebop, FMA, Trigun, Yu Yu Hakusho, Death Note, Samurai Champoo, and Afro Samurai.

Some of the dubs aren't that bad, take Gantz for example, very good dub. Me personally I watch dub in general though because I can't stand to hear the same lame Japanese voices, sometimes they're just outright goofy anyway and just as repetitive as the dub voices.

I wouldn't say that. my experience with the manga wasn't ruined by the anime, which I watched before I read the manga. Id say the new 3d CGI media butchered the series in general. Even the spin off mangas were better than that garbage.

I don't think it ruined it or anything in way. I'm saying gantz was a really good piece of art.

The anime was just a bit of a flattening. Reminds me of the berserk remake, it took something amazing and just flattened it.

Well you got a handful of good dubs. I couldn't go every single one old and new now, I mean I kind of like the 4kids Yugioh dub cause it was funny censored to the point people liked the censor "Sending them to the Shadow Realm" over just killing someone and all.
