THE COLONY DIG: Recruitment & Founding ​

I’m founding a little Dwarf colony right here on the forum, and I need the first wave of settlers to help define the initial "Great Dig."

We’re starting with nothing but a hole in the ground and some questionable intentions. I need your input to flesh out the foundations before the first pickaxe hits the stone.

Where are we setting up shop? Is it a lush forest with a dark secret, a frozen wasteland, or something more sinister?

What are our founders bringing to the table? We need more than just "Miners."

What are the 3 essential "Starter Skills" for our first colonists?
What’s the one piece of "Cursed" or "Essential" gear we’ve packed in the wagon?​

The Essentials: Food, Drink, & Art​

Man cannot live on stone alone.

What is our staple crop/booze?

What kind of "Masterwork Art" should be engraved on our walls to keep the spirits up?​

What is the overarching vibe of this colony? Are we a peaceful commune, or is there a "sick and twisted" underlying goal?

Define our Primary Goal: (e.g., Total domination, summoning something from the deep, or just building the world's largest vat of mushroom wine).

The Twist: What’s the hidden rule or dark secret that governs our little society?

Yeah kenshi has cocaine mods, kenish is one of the few games I can't enjoy without mods nowadays.

Drugs will be our top goal. Some sort of short king cartel. In a lush forest and our dark secret will be drugs? and maybe being racist towards all knife ears.



This the mod pack ill be using it should spice things up.

The south looks littered with tall scum. We will flood there towns with cheap drugs and subjugate them to our will...

Seven dwarfs, anyone want to be named after any of the starter dwarfs? This is the time we can have hard to train skills added that are hard to train, doctors are something I like to add, if no one cares by the end of the day I'll just pick something interesting or just have 7 suggestions for archetypes, i,e: a doctor who is also a chief, a miner who's a dancer, or a milker/cheese maker who is a wrestler.

i.e:

I like to have one dwarf to be the muscle that keeps the rest in check normally a master wrestler and bar keep. Since dwarfs are alcoholics and only like to drink booze having a bar keep that beats ass but doesn't kill them works well.

These right here are harder to train and we end up having to hope for someone to come with these skills.
