What are your thoughts that autistics are a less-domesticated form of modern human?
I believe there's a lot of recent evidence to suggest that it's a product of overly-expressed neanderthal alleles prompted by something in the environment. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41380-024-02593-7

Moreover, there's also a lot of confounding findings about the gut-brain microbiome being different in autistics; I do wonder if there's a link between certain symbiotic microbes and healthy brain development.

It could be linked back to Neanderthal DNA, but then again most autistic people display very different symptoms from one another. I haven’t really been educated on the subject but I remember reading about micro gut biome on .org and it suggests that bacteria from saliva itself even is very different compared to a neurotypical’s bacteria.
