Another day, another bunch of murderous music. Australia on the menu. This band has comical political views and kicked out its original vocalist for being transphobic (the vocalist himself backtracked and apologized, but too late!), but by god do they nail Behemoth sound. Working out to Behemoth is obscene for many reasons, not the least that the guy has physique of a stick. And so I picked the Australians as a perfect and accessible replacement. It is, again, "deathcore", just like the British band in OP post, but in name only. They deviate from the genre by being tuff and high on demon benchmark. Truly a treat for lifting. If that sounds okay, Hate Eternal is a natural aftermath - same shit but heavier. My only detour into sludge was when I was listening to Electric Wizard (best albums 2007 & 2000) and digged around related bands... None of whom I really remember. Dark dubstep is technically mid to low tempo, so it's not like I'm always high on speeds. But if we compare Melvins to trad doom metal bands, BPM to BPM, the former might be slower... It never crossed my mind to go that slow to begin with. Hibernating basically.
