Watched The Big Sleep last night and I was blasted by the dialogue: no cursing, no swearing, but the dialogue was so fast and sharp it blowed out many modern gangster movies. And this with the low tech of that time (1946), there was a lot of vignette in most scenes, and since I use a high contrast shader this literally made like 1/3 of the screen covered in black, forcing you to focus on the center of the screen. This hooked me for the entire movie, and for the first time in months I finished a near two hour movie in a single session. Now I'm having some hard time digging these movies. Most of them seems to be lost. If anyone know of a platform that specializes in it, please share. I downloaded Le Corbeau from the internet archive, dont know if it is any good, the rip seems to be low quality.</blockquote>
