Hobby Fishing is my only outdoors hobby

I really enjoy going fishing, especially late at night when no one else is around. The solitude and the summer nights feel so nice with my catfish rig in the water. I don't like going with others because not only does it take away my solitude, but when I go with others they always want to leave way before I'm ready to leave myself. I can go for an entire day and late into the night and have several times. I once caught a carp when I was cat fishing and it was surprisingly yummy. This was the carp I caught last June.

Based honestly, sounds really comfy. I used to go fishing with my uncle though only to catch small fish like Roach and Perch.
1. What is the biggest fish you've ever caught (classic question).
2. Do you usually keep the fish at the end or release them back? I've always wondered what it'd be like to subsist off of caught fish as a main protein source in a survival scenario. Never tried catfish though I hear it's quite a big deal in America!

The biggest fish I caught was this carp but I did have a rod break when I was catfishing once! Damn thing just snapped in half. I do keep the fish to eat if it's big enough to eat.

I used to fish as a tween. I really just liked looking at all the lures like they are pokemon cards. I didnt like that I was basically being cruel to fish for no reason.
