Halloween (1978) is one of my favourite horror/slasher movies, if anyone hasn't read it, I highly recommend it's novelation, it enriches the story, shows a backstory for Michael's curse back in Ireland during the dawn of the "Celtic race" and it even shows teen Michael speaking with his family and Sam Loomis, which never happens in the movie, in the movie he's never seen speaking, whether as a teen or as an adult.
