While there are cons to not having any social ties, some being that one may find it harder to navigate society and access to the material benefits that society offers by being a conforming participant etc, it can be beneficial in the sense that one can be free from the burden of having multiple social ties which weigh you down and prevent you from pursuing self-realisation as an individual and focusing on your own priorities.
Unlike the average individual who is completely preoccupied with pre-existing commitments and social contracts that come with having a large network of social connections, finding little to no time for self-reflection; one who has disengaged from the social matrix has the freedom to act upon what feels right for them without any judgment or scrutiny from those around them.
