Is it true it's basically just a Dark Souls-like Metroidvania? The only Metroidvania I really like is Shovel Knight, if that even counts. And Shantae, but I don't know if that counts either.
(When I say "Dark Souls-like Metroidvania," I mean is it just a super difficult Metroidvania?)

I never had an issue with the difficulty unless u count getting lost I guess.

the first game goes on a fat sale frequently and u shouldn't touch silksong till u beat that.
