Both beneficial. Best done interchangeably.

Heat is more important for humans because most of us are heat deficient.
As humans age they feel it more with their hands and feet because of poor circulation and worse electric conductivity.
I'm actually cold most of the time unless there is tempereture of +30 degrees Celsius and mood is boosted significantly after warming in the sun or exercise.

Cold showers are good too, even cold baths winter swimming and cold hardening but it can be easily overdone. Cold is not needed as much as heat. It's best to cool down after sweating in the sun or start with a hot shower then turn water cold.

If you are in good condition and want to go extreme practice running in a sauna suit on hot days-good for burning fat and sweating out toxins provided you hydrate and not kill yourself.

Raw meat guy will tell you it's mental illness and people don't do this in nature.
Imo there is such a thing as being too comfortable and developing temperature intolerance and most people are closer to this than to optimal health.
Exercise is good but have to listen to body. Our bodies are deficient in movement heat and oxygen.

IMO you shouldn’t take anything too far. I like to go outside on 90 degree days often and do stuff and it feels good if not overdone. Likewise I like going out on 30 degree days in winter, but I’m always wearing adequate clothing to stay warm

Don’t baby yourself and think you need to be in a climate controlled environment all the time but also don’t be the idiot jogging in winter clothes in summer or the one outside in freezing temperatures with no warm clothes.

That guy is mostly right about stuff like this but he’s got too black and white of a mindset and acts like normal life activities like going out in hot summer weather and cold winter weather is something you shouldn’t do. He is right that extremes like cold water “training” and similar activities are bad for you

He’s full of shit on the raw meat thing though. I would never willingly eat raw meat. Humans need to eat meat but certainly not raw

you can expand by leaving your comfort zone and pushing your limits if you do it wisely
the strong can benefit from things that are deadly for weak people
it's a sign of a spirited person to want to challenge yourself so maybe the reason for that growth isn't scientific
also science turns out to be wrong all the time
so does common sense

his logic: everything pleasant is good for you, everything unpleasant is bad for you

I don't reject raw meat and I don't follow it either
if you ate sushi carpaccio tartar you ate raw meat and you probably felt good after because it's light clean food

I mean I do things that most people would consider outside comfort zone but it’s normal to me. I often times cut grass in 90 degree heat and work on my equipment too in that weather. Lots of physical tasks involved in what I do that most people just wouldn’t be able to do

But again it’s not like I’m running a marathon till my lungs hurt. I do physical stuff at a reasonable pace where it doesn’t feel painful. IMO pushing yourself to where it really sucks and you feel in agony from the strain is just horrible.

Things for me that are normal tasks would be most people’s idea of pushing themselves lol

For the most part he’s right he just takes it way too far

Cold showers are stimulant like, and can frame you right to carry out productive tasks. Also they don’t even feel that unpleasant, raw meat tards just never grew out of their devil’s advocate phase in life.

While warm showers are purely soothing and for relaxation.

They both can allow for positive outcomes in different ways.

Cold shower is better to reduce inflammation--->Reducing skin conditions, cortisol, less brain inflammation means higher operational intelligence, ideal in the morning and a couple of hours after a workout, not the case if targeting two workout a day or endurance focus, then a cold bath right away is correct.
