How much money would it take to disappear?

Ive had this fantasy for a long time. Maybe live in the woods or by some sort of religious sanctuary with lost of books and be left alone for the rest of my life. What location would be ideal?

I've often fantasised about disappearing from society, wiping my identity. It's a similar phenomena in Japan where individuals completely leave their lives and identity behind and become a new person.
