Programming How old were you when you first learned to program?

I was 12 years old when I first learned to program in QBasic back on DOS. I had discovered a sample program in the computer science section of Compton's Encyclopedia and realized I could type it out and run. My first program was a character sheet generator for Palladium Fantasy RPG. Then I wrote a text adventure game with an RPG battle system.

I tried at 13 but just managed to code something by 17

If you count Scratch, then probably 8.

Yet if not, then 16.

I tried coding as a 14 y/o too, yet I had a lot of other problems holding me back so I didn't follow through.

And finally, at 19 I officially knew how to code without looking up GitHub every once in a while.
