On the one hand, forum activity and posting has spiked over the past two days.

However, it also incentivises low effort high post spamming to get to the top of the leaderboard rankings, while also potentially discouraging users from participating in or starting more concentrated, effortposting and discussion, which was partly what the forum was founded for.

I am thinking of disabling the post count for the Tartarus subforum to disincentivise this kind of postmaxxing while encouraging more users to participate in more measured, serious discussion on the forum.

Don't allow for dross, just do what it is the site is intended for, pander not to the force of the people for they are blind, if it was up to the common user the site would not and could not function and would dig their own grave without effort. Just allow for us to post with ease and if anything if you have to impose the rule of no post maxxing, do it, who loses? No one, because all it is is excess post and in general who desires to read garbage? Get rid of the trash and keep the gold.
