That extended far into the night. Journeying to locations foreign to you. I remember watching street lights pass by at night with music on the radio playing faintly in the background. While my relatives would be passed out I’d stay up in the passenger seat with my father driving till the early hour mornings. It was never about the destination for me. I always had ideas of how life would be while traveling on vacation, that it never lived up to expectations anyway.
