Evolution doesn't presuppose materialism and atheism doesn't even presuppose evolution to begin with, then also determinism doesn't even presuppose atheism btw. Even if you're a flat young earther it's more logical for you to be an atheist. And even if you believe in Kikebrahamic god then you should logically be determinist (anyone with a brain sees that compatibilism is oxymoronical by it's definition). Materialism is not true and will never be proven. It's like a detective looking at a crime scene, of course he can't actually see what happened, but he figures it out based on the clues left around, except in this case (evolution) the evidence is all around, everywhere of innumerable quantity and quality. Feelsbad dudebros are skeptical of evolution and I know skepticism is a gutsy thing to do to begin with, but you shouldn't be selective with it whatsoever and extend it to all that you can, which is what science is by definition. The most tragic irony, for me, is that evolution is actually the most 'thumos' and Nietzschean whatever you want to call it, way to believe that we came about, I mean for sure anyway since, rejecting the billions of years of suffering is innately a huge opiate and sedative mechanism. "No, we all exist here as unicorns and flowers and butterflies just magically popping in". I believe that you'd get this for sure if you played Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and thought about it deeply, as I have.
