I've been video calling with this one girl from Kazakhstan. It's kind of an exercise in futility as I will probably never meet them, but that's precisely the point as well. That hopeless feeling that the two of you will never be together is a bittersweet feeling that I've romanticized in the past.

It's also comforting to know that there are still some girls out there who I can relate to and talk with about random shit, and they have cute accents too. Hopefully this helps me cope with the increasing amount of alienation I feel, which I also romanticize.

I think talking with girls online always has a different sort of appeal than having an IRL girlfriend.
I've always dreamed about meeting strange girls online in search of a rawer connection, there's something about this being an inherent tragedy waiting to happen that makes it special, as well as using technology as the vessel for communication
