Here a comic idea I had, its more like a storyboard now. Angelcast opening arc: The protagonist is an underground mini eceleb in a future online identity is everything. In this future, pimp my ride fast and furious culture is still trendy and is one of the most tiktokable activities to share on socials. He races a stripped-down supercharged Caterham in a world dominated by AI powered hypercars controlled by teenagers in their pod. People idolize him as "real" and "authentic" projecting fantasies onto him through clips and edits and reaction vids. Obese chuds use him as the symbol for dissidoid media contents. He became a living myth. In reallife, angelcast quit drugs bcause racing on the caterham gives him addiction stronger even compared to online validation. After another major victory, he returns home alone to a shit apartment filled with old anime and spends the night consuming media compulsively. One anime in particular had a big effect on him. Captain Harlock. The idea of freedom without spectators, very fascinating concept for the zoomertoker of the future. Angelcast becomes obsessed with the romantic image of the wandering outlaw detached from society, but his zoomtoker brain is too fried by validation cycles, he consumes the aesthetic the same way others consumed him on socials doing reaction vids. He withdraws from racing circles. Stops answering sponsors. Spends nights doomscrolling military autistic forums, and anime archives while the city continues turning him into an online myth. Then he discovers a restored Maus tank. The machine fascinates him immediately because it is the complete opposite of the Caterham. Its slow, a massive hulking beast of steel and power. And inside the tank youre alone isolated by armored plates. On impulse, he trades away the Caterham for the Maus. Just like captain harlock did when he got his spaceship. So it begins the story of Angelcast, from now on I copy carmageddon videogame. Hes going to become even more tiktok famous than he was before. And he will never fix his validation addiction.
