Found it capture the decadence of urban isolation pretty well, while not being heavy on indictment or moral evaluation of the rotter protagonist (similar to taxi driver in that sense). Heavy on narration to the point I found it was more like those 2 paraagraaph long ramblings chaaracterised by authors like Krasznahorkai rather than Dostoevsky in that theyre not really integral to anything but serves the overall thematic style of the film. Its only one hour long but I found it very relatable even though Im not French nor do I live in a hovel of a hotel room like the protag.
