Not all rap, but most rap. Some rap can be quite melodic and sonically interesting, in the soundcloud underground scene. But i dont understand listening to most mainstream rap music, it’s a 5 second instrumental loop for 2-3 minutes with almost zero musical content otherwise besides rhythmic talking on the beat
