When I was in HS I remember 50% of kids came from supplement seller families. Which was at my time the standard default thing in "middle class".
At the time I suffered it cause my parents worked honest jobs unlike the others. I presume is one of the many causes that made me incel, not even one of the less relevant.
And so I got these kids habituated on a logic of selling shit in school. All of them justified morally the practice of selling supplements. Most of them tried their luck with sport, and most dont make it. Some of them started roiding at age 14 for bike related activities. Their parents bought all sorts of expensive equipment, and participate in the dream.
There was a family selling herbalife supplements, their daughter one of the hottest girls that made me drip semen in endless sessions of masturbation, but I had nothing to share with her. She got in bed with another person from the herbalife cult ideology, he was able to connect emotionally with her in a way nobody else could, and when he showed the herbalife products in the class she said "oh you too eat herbalife" and it became a love story informing the local drama.
High status kid was a guy from a family of cream sellers. Selling creams for beauty related was higher tier than selling supplements. Cause creams are very expensive, and he got tons of pussy simply carrying with him some cream samples. This guy had legit more status than drug dealers.
In the local gym, I was doin kickboxin. But I dropped it. Because the instructor did not allow me to participate to tournaments, unless I signed a contract where I had to wear his logos. Also, I was not willing to wear his gloves in the gym, which he tolerated barely. In the end I went away and went to another gym. The other gym wasnt even that much better, but the supplement seller instructor was selling stuff from sweden at prices so high that nobody could afford them. And thank god he was focused on vitamins so no protein powders this time.
In school I got sent to the principal for an invented infraction and suspended. Cause: the HS teacher was selling supplements I didnt buy them and challenged him by reading pubmed, and I bought another brand on amazon. And one time brought it to school, but he saw it and pretended it was illegal, which it wasnt.
The history of philosophy teacher then became one of the scammed victims of this local coach, and he started purchasing supplements. Later, this dude also became an apple follower.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. I have tales of neighbors trying to sell mattress, or dish washers or people who try to fuck you over all of a sudden ruining long friendship because they went to a seminar, or family friends who scam you trying to sell you orthopedic shoes.
I mean if I have to describe it, in its full horror, this stuff requires more than 1 single shitpost. Just believe me, it was very very bad.
Now I go online, and I see that everyone is addicted to parasocial relationshit with the eceleb grifter. First thing I think is its good. At least we centralize the scamming grifting culture and enforce some consistency and hierarchy. Or other times I wonder if it got better or worse compared to the times I lived in the normielands.
I thought in the past, is this some sort of industrial culture? Bcause this was happening in an industrialized area. I noticed jobless people always try to sell protein shakes and they want to purchase audi and BMW. Guys who work for real dont do this stuff, and industry activity like be a machinist or be an entrepreneur does not produces this result.
