She'd let no one pass her - not from start to finish - crusading for the front like her life depended on it.</p><p></p><p>And yet, this wasn't the aura or personality I got from Suzuka at all. She seemed more like Doto, in the sense that she was quite gentle and quiet, preferring to let the world pass her by rather than taking the reins herself. "I know a few good races we could watch," she'd said - worried that I'd grow apathetic in her company. I don't know if it was the breeze that made Suzuka's hair flow about the wind like the dance of flower petals, or the light that dimmed but never seemed to put out the sparkle in her eyes, but in that moment I told her that the only thing I wanted to see was her - and that no race could ever compare to the way my chest tightened in her presence. All of that was apparently enough to set her off - showing a rather rare but entertaining side of her as she spouted on about how confessions of love were meant for marriage and not just a trip with a friend. So, obviously, I said yes.</p><p></p><p>Speaking of that, I actually called her that out of curiosity, and just to toy with her a bit. It sent her into a folly of blushing and stammering, a sight most adorable, considering its subject was the undefeated front runner of Tracen.</p><p></p><p>As the race drew to a close in the wake of Oguri Cap's brilliant victory, Suzuka yawned a draught of air and asked if she could change to her night clothes. I obliged, even getting myself prepared for concluding the day. As the two of us got settled in her bed, as soft as spring grass and sakura petals, Suzuka hugged me, bringing her head closer to mine as she wished me a tender goodnight.</p><p></p><p><strong>FINAL VERDICT:</strong> 10/10, as always with our beloved Umamusume. Suzuka may be a beast on the tracks, but she definitely comes off as a friend you can confide in after the last bells ring at Tracen. Her lack of demand for rampant conversation and style of simply keeping company makes her a good partner to end the day on a relaxed note with - something i'm sure we all need from time to time.
