My broader point is every generation builds an excuse and transmits the excuse to the next generation. Each generation says "we failed because of X" A generation said "we failed because we didnt have food" and they give us sad romantic imagery of poor people who had no boots in england and show us poverty. We fix poverty. And next generation says "we dont have education, muh no books". We fix it, we print them in mass. Another generation says "we dont have internet, despite books are free, we dont have access to them". We fix it, everyone has internet. Whats our excuse? Look carefully. We say "we dont have meaning". We ask grifters to give us "meaning". This is literally what we are doing. That was my broader point. Our failre is going to be stuff of legends.
