I made this thread on another forum, I just copied and pasted it to here.

Many people wonder why male testosterone levels are decreasing year by year.

I'm here to answer that.

Is it microplastics ? Junk food ? Lack of sunlight? lack of sleep? lack of movement? Heavy metals ? Environmental toxins ? Endocrine disruptors ? Obesity ? Stress ?

Do all of these play a roll in the declining testosterone levels?

yes.

But, The primary reason for the declining testosterone levels are....

Micronutrient deficiencies; take a look at how many key micronutrients the world population is deficient in:

Look at how many people are deficient in key vitamins and minerals. Every single micronutrient plays a role in testosterone production. Your body cannot make testosterone without colfactors (which are vitamin and minerals)

Fixing these deficiencies would solve the male testosterone crisis.
You can see in studies, where men who are deficient in X nutrient and they reverse that deficiency, they see a drastic increase in their testosterone levels.

Like zinc for example, provides an 276% increase in testosterone: testosterone:Zinc status and serum testosterone levels of healthy adults - PubMed

Another example: TriMethlyglyince ( TMG) an amino acid derived from choline. In the study it shows when adolescent men were given TMG, their testosterone levels increased by 3x from 500NG/DL to around 1500NG/DL (with exercise)

There are many more examples of X nutrients causing an drastic increase in testosterone. I only felt like quoting two.

Getting an adequate amount of vitamins and minerals, and antioxidants can help with one of the other major causes of decreasing testosterone levels which is inflammation and oxidative stress.

Getting adequate nutrient intake can also fight off the other major things that lower your testosterone levels.

Like;
fighting off environmental toxics, lowering cortisol, removing heavy metals, getting rid of endocrine disruptors, putting you into an proper deep sleep so you can actually make testosterone, and so much more

So to sum up. You cannot afford to be deficient in any vitamin, mineral, antioxidants, Etc.
If you want to maximize testosterone production.


You may also ask "how do I know if I am getting adequate amounts of micronutrients?"

Its simple. You can go to the USDA food database, and type X food into the database and It will tell you what nutrients are in the X food and how much there are in X food.

Theres also an app called "cronometer"
(I use this personally) its basically the same as the USDA database, but more simplified.
You type in X food and it gives you what nutrients and how much of them are there in X food.
