Well, lads. In officially two days and a few hours from now, I start college.
Class is once a week with homework/assignments.
I'm studying Animal Care and apparently the course has a 94% female enrolment rate.
Certainly no complaints there!
There's also a Pokemon gym and a PokeStop right by the campus and one directly on the campus, so I can do my dailies in Pokemon Go there.
I also receive an extra ~$62 a fortnight for studying it, plus I get a Spotify Premium student discount so it cuts down the price by half.
I'm now receiving roughly $1400 per fortnight from the government (disabilitybux + student pension supplement + rent assistance).
The course also only goes till December, so I'll be back to being a NEET afterwards.
Otherwise, though? I'm looking forward to this new step in my life. I could never work with people to begin with, so getting a qualification in animal-related fields is a must for me. I already have a qualification in community services (taking care of the elderly and disabled) but I can't see myself doing that line of work, period.
If my writing doesn't take off (currently working on a novel about a NEET that's half-fantasy - it's partly set in an MMORPG - and half-gritty reality; I've published before), then an animal-related job is the right course of action for me.
I realise I can't be a NEET forever, even if I am guaranteed disabilitybux for the rest of my life. It's just not a sustainable life choice, really.
