Collectively I mean. Because in any social context surrounding multiple persons there will always be complications. Group dynamics at play.
Hierarchies eventually form. Alliances and factions come together, merge and break like the ebbing tide. Secret favours are called, an atmosphere forms where some things are just better left unspoken.
It’s all so tiresome, really.
At the end of the day, people are just massive dramaphags, and no place is immune from it. It’s just a matter of course and a mainstay of human nature when people come together in shared environments.
It’s really only tolerable to converse with others 1 on 1, and permitting that discourse stays neutral and matter-of-fact, and you’re going into this without any prior social context.
Tbh it’s probably one of the reasons why I never really made close connections with others throughout my life — they were more attuned to social and group dynamics, while I never really cared or gave much weight to those kind of matters — I much preferred to keep to myself.
