I’ve heard of this term before, what does it have to do with development?

Hey, I’ve read a bit about epigenetics and honestly it clicked for me pretty early on. The way environment can flip gene expression on/off without changing the DNA itself just feels like a missing piece for a lot of things, including sexual orientation. It seems far more important then even just base genetics in some cases, especially for complex behavioral outcomes like temperament, stress response, risk-taking, aggression, social bonding, sexual orientation, even things like addiction vulnerability or resilience to trauma.
