Is it LARP or is this actually your waifu? I'll be honest, I've never been able to invest affection into an anime character from a show, so waifu culture is a bit foreign to me. It would irk me that other men would have eyes on them as their waifu, aswell, which is likely in any medium-to-large show. The only time I find anime waifus appealing is if I make them myself, but then am I their husbando or their God?

One should not feel threatened when others admire or “choose” the same girl as their waifu. This is not a matter of betrayal or romantic infringement. Let me clarify the metaphysics behind this notion: when you designate a waifu, you are not merely selecting a character from an established narrative—you are, in essence, forging a personal manifestation of her. It’s a crystallization, a singular instantiation shaped by your own perception and emotional resonance. Think of her like a Tulpa.

Take, for example, Illya from Fate Prisma. Suppose the author were to take her story in a direction you find unpalatable. That development bears no consequence on your personal Illya, the version you embraced long before. The moment of your choice renders her static in that ideal form, untouched by subsequent canonical changes.

Similarly, when others claim Illya as their waifu, they are creating their own distinct iteration—entirely separate from yours. Your Illya remains yours alone, a reflection untarnished by the intentions or imaginations of others.

As for Quinella being my waifu, she is not. That's an old text from mine, some years ago. The current one is an adaptation.
