I was reading through thread-related recently and it made me reminisce about the past and my overall internet journey.
wizchan.org
It was one of the first times that I browsed the imageboard extensively since I was a teenager (I remember lurking the Depression Crawl Threads in between many a school periods) and many of the posts in the thread encapsulated my overall sentiment on the 'Incel Question', which I've touched upon in many of my early writings on here.
I was heavily immersed in imageboard culture before stumbling on Blackpill communities and it kind of explains why I was never fully absorbed in the incel zeitgeist or heavily conformed with the orthodoxy of the culture. It's also why I instinctively gravitated towards Neets and Looksmax and hardly engaged with the incelosphere side of it despite ostensibly being the right fit as a KHHV and having been friendless for over a decade now.
I was always implicitly aware of incel culture being a negativity sink and became more aware as time went on that many incels were bullies and narcissists who had a tendency to be mean towards others or of the less fortunate.
My relationship with the forums was more on the side of having fun and participating in these vessels of niche internet culture and community rather than being something to heavily self-identify with or base my worldview around. Most of my posts consisted of schizoid ramblings and shitposting.
I do give props to the Master forums for fostering a highly engaging environment, the forums were insanely fast, and the process of persona creation and being able to interact with different characters made it more riveting compared to imageboards.
What separates wizards and incels?
Why are they so frowned upon here?
