Should "White Pill" leave the identity/term "incel" behind?
>> Private poll in the Elysium subforum "What is inceldom?" <<

Discussion of what an "incel" is:

"Incel" identity has the endonym vs. exonym phenomenon:

Endonym (insider meaning)
Exonym (outsider meaning)
  • Single / celibate for involuntary reasons
  • Uses the word "incel" to refer to single people
  • Defines the term as single for involuntary reasons
  • Part of / contributes to "incel" communities and subculture
Connotations
  • Misogynistic attitudes
  • Defeatist attitudes
  • Self-inflicted loser
  • Political radicalisms

No. Why shouldn't it?

Inceldom discussion from "Blackpill as Macro, Whitepill as Micro"
Isn't the definition of an incel what separates incels and non-incels?

Incels in the incel culture use the word to describe being single for involuntary reasons. Other would be "incels" but not in the culture do not identify with the term and do not use it to describe other people in that situation.

This definition includes all men at different points of their lives, including too young to date and too old to date.

The term and the subculture identity are confused too often. If you heard "incel" as an insult would it mean "loser" or "misogynist" to you?

Whitepilled individuals are Whitepillers. Whether they're incel or not is a separate question.

There's no reason to scrap fundamental definitions unless you want to kowtow to normie preferences and want to play up to them.

It would also make this place another "incel" forum and a failed attempt to leave the subculture behind.

There would be no point for outsiders / non-incels to contribute.

The Whitepill draws upon the Blackpill, the conception of which was heavily influenced by manosphere/incel communities.

The Whitepill itself is very niche and only relevant to a small demographic of people. Most normies don't even know what a 'pill' is.

It doesn't matter how outsiders will perceive this forum as a whole. You're always going to be branded as a 'le misogynistic inkwell' by participating in these communities regardless of your personal views on the topic.

There's literally no need to appeal to people who aren't part of the know.

The term is almost never used as its "fundamental" definition even within "incel" communities. This is not playing up to "normie" preferences, this is about presentation.

"It doesn't matter how outsiders will perceive this forum as a whole." — No... It actually does. Outsiders lurk and then join forums. No-one serious wants to join a 'le rabid inkwell' forum.

I only joined because of this based response to my thread on .org, "Infinite tsukuyomi"
Personally I'd enter it on the condition that I retain full awareness and knowledge of the outside world, and that other people have the autonomy to choose not to accept it.
This is a white pilled response because the choice is made with awareness. It's not a cope.

There's literally no need to appeal to people who aren't part of the know.
There is if you are presented as something you're not. This is really a cope.

Are you just marking yourself as a people-pleasing conformist? So you basically want incels (people who associate themselves with Blackpill communities) to 'reform' themselves and make themselves appealing to the general public. There will always be a stigma associated with the term. Incels aren't a collective, they are congregations of individuals who have come together on the internet to discuss like-minded topics, it's not that deep.

Blackpill communities as a whole don't appeal to outsiders. They already select for those who are already familiar with the Blackpill worldview and can merge seamlessly into the community.

No, it's being NT.

There will always be a stigma associated with the term.
The stigma is associated with the incel subculture.

incels (people who associate themselves with Blackpill communities
You're not using the fundamental definition here — you also agree with exonym definition of "incel"!

'reform' themselves
Is white pill about personal improvement while accepting black pill realities or not?

The "like-minded topics" are the exonym connotations like misogyny and radicalism.

Black pill communities are not about improving themselves or making their lives better. They're spaces to rot together.

Is this a break from the old ways or not?

Well I suppose this is a non-NT forum, and this place doesn't really cater to those kinds of people.

There are two definitions. I'm just using the popular 'exonymous' definition for convenience and clarity.

Yes

Yes

Is this a break from the old ways or not?
Yes, as the Whitepill specifically focuses on the individual and how they can make their life better.
