1. Dark souls 3 and 1: Dark souls 1 had better bosses and level design but dark souls 3 has the best atmosphere and combat imo

2. Bloodborne: Best souls game, i would have put it on 1 if they remastered it for pc.

i don't consider sekiro as an real souls game because it's too different in it's theme but maybe i will put it in the same place as elden ring

The closest isometric souls-like I've played would be Hades.

For me? Bloodborne goes at the top. The aesthetic, the presentation, the bosses. All of it is simply chef's kiss. Castles and whatnot are dime a dozen.

Then, keep in mind I hate souls in general so, even something like Code Vein (by bandai namco still) it goes way above this list just by having actual requirement of reaction speed skill more than any else. Then of course Nioh, Nioh 2 especially goes even higher than that. And I still don't really like Nioh 2 as much as pure hack and slash games

the four games I listed out in that post, as compared to dark souls or elden ring, are objectively better by every single metric (bar maybe level design or soundtrack, by a slight margin) and any smart souls fan should prefer those over the bad games miyazaki made.

The story, characters, and setting are immersive. Well written so you will likely not feel as if you are reading some kind of boring long novel. The mystery you unravel. You can be a racist. The MC is a badass in the exact way that fits your style, thanks to the way the game plays

I felt like the companions you meet were really looking out for me, the first time I played it
