In letting go of those group identities you just replace them with another. There is no such thing as an unbiased viewpoint in this world, every aspect of your thought is weighted with anthropocentric bias, any attempt to relinquish one bias simply confers another unto you. You are trading one group for a smaller group, but not the smallest. An organism can never be separated from its environment. In pure terms, we are gradients. The behavioral patterns that societies adopt are not arbitrary, they are stable evolutionary strategies that manifest overtime for mutual survival. The only reason you view conformity as a negative is because you are most likely unable to conform, and this is a common mind trap that the fringe of society fall into, which is to idolize 'free-thinking' as if they ever had another option but to diverge from conformity due to environmetnal trends, and really this is erroneous as everybody is a 'free thinker', it's just that (like everybody else) you value people with similar markers of genetic closeness, including their ideologues, and so eschew the distant 'conformists' and admire 'non-conformists' who are really just people that think similarly to you thus denoting genetic closeness. The concept of 'normie' is exceptionally stupid, in my opinion. No two people are the same, it's just that generally speaking people tend to band together for mutual benefit because it is easier and more sensible for them to do so. It is much easier to kill a tiger in a group than alone. It only becomes a negative when this system of cooperation is undermined by bad actors. Life is not 'only suffering' or 'only competition', you see this is a bias many people pick up, especially fringe or socially mal-adapted, because these people are unable to fulfil their inherited base impulse of resource accumulation and breeding, and even the desire to be 'non-conforming' stems from the initial strategy of conformity not working for them, so they worship this percieved nonconformity in order to affirm to themselves a notion of environmental fitness. There is such a thing as a symbiotic relationship that does not require suffering of any parties and it is practiced regularly in nature. They laud this trait of non-conformity because in high-trust environments undermining the system by being a 'free-thinker' or 'low-trust' would enable them to jape 'normies' and gain resources or breeding opportunities through undermining the base rules that allow a society to be harmonious that people opt to conform to 'like sheep' because it actually is far better for them to do so. The reason most people feel 'right' in attacking and denouncing pedophiles is that pedophilia as a trait simply does not build a cooperative, high-trust society. Pedophilia is biologically damaging, neurologically damaging, a prime vector of communicable disease (especially parasites) and biologically taxing; the huge selection pressure put on pedophiles in the past due to the innate disgust many humans have for them has actually worked to the advantage of pedophiles by making them necessarily more wily and secretive which is why our topmost echelons of society are chock full of them. 'Normal' people were well adjusted and never felt the need to create esoteric cults of secretive brotherhood or gargantuan hidden networks to filter the moral from the pederast. Degenerates have far more to lose when exposed and their genes adapt appropriately over generations, which is why 'intellectuals' and 'degenerates' have such a massive overlap. This is the root of Satanism which is the worship of this selection pressure nudging 'free thinkers' into existence via ardent necessity of avoiding strict condemnation for eating 'forbidden fruits'. In my opinion our current tribal identity is actually a very good thing. I would rather live in a society of benevolent conformists as opposed to backstabbing 'free-thinkers' that are so adamant in estranging themselves from uniting laws that society cannot even bear fruit in the first place. We owe everything to the fact that we as a species banded together and engaged in mutual respect and mirror behaviours, commerce and communications; this should not be nullified simply because one misfit or another cannot satisfy his infinite breeding or resource accumulation fantasies in a great era of subversion. Tribalism and identity are far from being problems, they are great unifying forces that allow us to have such things as the internet, fresh food and warm clothes. If we were all 'free-thinkers', none of the glorious novelties of life we are able to experience would have came to fruition. Actually, the only reason us fringe outcasts are able to exist at all is through the benevolence of conformists and their tendency to distribute resources with relative clemency, I for one am exceptionally grateful for all of the people in my life and for the condition of the society I occupt for this exact reason. Whomsoever said that a life only constitutes one subjective experience? We are all interminably linked. If we require modern conveniences and cherish them, we must necessarily show gratitude, clemency and conformity, as if everybody was a non-conformist solipsist, the great conveniences of our modern age could not have been fostered and the entire system collapses.
