Man, time flies. I remember playing Pokemon on my Gameboy as a kid and even the little things seemed so much more magical than they are now; pixel sprites have so much more charm than 3d models they use in the newer games.

The 90s and early 2000s was the best decade for anime with Trigun (don't even get me started on the remake...), Yu Yu Hakusho, GTO, Ghost in the Shell. Even something as simple as going to the store was a way more personal experience with soul, I would saunter on down the boulevard to my local Blockbuster for rentals every other week with my dog (bless his soul), but that sort of thing has faded to obscurity. Post-2000s that kind of positive energy was thwarted by internet ubiquity.

Everything seemed so much purer as a kid, like people were more invested in the world. What happened? Sometimes I think the Y2K crash happened instead on the simulation we're running on, because the world has changed. I bet the newer generations would think 'Limewire' is some kind of green cable for their phones...

Can't believe I'm pushing thirty, it's almost as if the days go by faster than I can blink! Fellows, what would you do on your big three-zero? :pepehide:

I think we are straddled between two worlds tbh, modern technological advancements have fundamentally changed the way we live.
