Even something as simple as going to the store was a way more personal experience with <em>soul</em>, I would saunter on down the boulevard to my local Blockbuster for rentals every other week with my dog (bless his soul), but that sort of thing has faded to obscurity. Post-2000s that kind of positive energy was thwarted by internet ubiquity.</p><p></p><p>Everything seemed so much purer as a kid, like people were more<em> invested</em> in the world. What happened? Sometimes I think the Y2K crash happened instead on the simulation we're running on, because the world has changed. I bet the newer generations would think 'Limewire' is some kind of green cable for their phones...</p><p></p><p>Can't believe I'm pushing thirty, it's almost as if the days go by faster than I can blink!
