Something like that tends to be more disheartening when one has little-to-no confidence in themselves, as someone in that sort of situation can only really picture themselves being able to fight back as long as one gained some insane power-up. And they are more moral driven story-wise compared to the country-destroying reincarnated warlord of a MC, so it doesn't feel as satisfying to those who suffered long enough to where they struggle to see their bullies and those who mocked them having value to the world.</blockquote>
