Google DeepMind’s new AI video tech is unreal seriously, it’s like something out of a sci fi flick. I tossed in a detailed character prompt, and bam, it brought her to life spot-on, hilarious in a way that’s totally her, and dropped her in a setting that fits like a glove. The characters don’t just look real; they’ve got voices, emotions, and banter that could fool you into thinking they’re flesh and blood. It’s wild to watch.
But here’s where it crashes hard: it’s stupid expensive. I’m stuck on this entry level subscription $20 a month and at this rate, it’ll take me two damn years to scrape together a short episode. Who’s got that kind of time or cash? And the seven second clip limit? Forget it. I tried cramming an intro for a film narration in there, and it’s like shoving a whole movie into a freaking Vine—total chaos, not even close to decent quality. It’s user-friendly enough to mess with, but unless you’re some videography guru, good luck making it sing.
The potential’s there, no doubt. If they’d quit screwing around and make it cheaper maybe add a timeline so I can stitch clips together without losing my mind this thing could be a monster. Right now, though? It’s a shiny toy I can’t afford to play with. I’m canceling ‘til they sort it out.
