8.2 billion people on earth and only 12 are active on this forum.
Even on other manosphere-adjacent forums the amount of disgruntled outcasts should surely exceed such a paltry sequester; yet still the number of people actually present remains abysmally low.

There is something that can be said, that the people here are at least divergent in a sense. Perhaps truly intelligent people get the ick and never come to these sites in the first place... It's sobering to think that so many people (8+ billion!) on this earth exist in bubbles like this that we could never hope to breach. They live lives that are confined, closed off to the influence of the internet, or trapped so intimately within their niche internet microcosms that you never hear from them. Only a fraction of a fraction of people online have the bravado and motive or the naivete to create discussion online without caring if their opinions necessarily infringe on others and only a fraction of those opinions find their way to you.

Maybe there is some truth to the stipulation that most people are NPCs. That is, they interact with complex systems sparingly and keep to their own lane, if you know what I mean, their own assigned roles, because it's all they need and want to know. What is it that's so special about us that we are able to observe from the fringe?

Are we spoiled? Are we intelligent? Are we outcasted? Are we simply idiots that can't socially integrate? What makes us so special?
