[QUOTE="Wolfstorm, post: 84624, member: 612"] Loosh theory is real. You assign a part of yourself to some egregore and leave it there, filling space in your mind. So now you have less mind to interact with the world, while the egregore got more power. Its like those spells in a videogame where, while they remain active, decreases your total mana by some amount. In other words, loosh is egregore maintenance inside your soul. For instance, someone in his 20s doing chemistry, but at the same time interested in le epic battles of Alexander the Great, will have less power to dedicate to chemistry, than someone not interested in le epic battles, but fully commited to chemistry. Now the first guy is feeding the egregore of le epic movies with le epic crowds simulating le epic battles full of /pol/ epicness and belonging to the history of the great ancient race that now is reduced to soylent drinkers. The first guy is now having loosh extracted by le epic /pol/ chud egregore, and will be a half-chemist since he will have his mind busy with political concerns. The second guy, though, has no mind for politics, and is obsessed with chemistry, so becoming a brilliant scientist. That's why one should be delusional about his dreams. By being obsessed and delusional, you prevent your loosh from being extracted by distractions. If you are obsessed and delusional, notifications will not hook you, they will annoy you instead.
